The UAE continues to assert its position as a global leader in skyscraper development, primarily driven by significant private sector investment. As of July 2026, Dubai alone accounts for six of the world’s top 20 tallest buildings currently under construction, according to data from Skyscraper Center. This concentration solidifies Dubai’s status as the Middle East’s preeminent skyscraper hub.
Projects Rising in the Sky
Notably, all of the ten tallest skyscrapers presently under development across the UAE are situated within Dubai. This trend reflects sustained capital allocation towards high-end real estate and the expanding tourism sector. By the close of the current decade, Dubai is projected to introduce multiple new supertall structures, each exceeding 500 metres in height. This expansion is set to further extend the city’s lead as having the largest concentration of ultra-tall buildings globally, outside of China.
Among the prominent projects contributing to this impressive skyline transformation are several landmark towers. The Tiger Sky Tower, anticipated for completion in 2029, will ascend to 532 metres in Business Bay. Developed by Tiger Properties, this mixed-use project is planned to include luxury apartments, penthouses, a hotel, and distinctive attractions such as a rainforest feature, an infinity pool, and an observation deck.

In Dubai Marina, the Six Senses Residences Dubai Marina by Select Group and Six Senses is expected to be finished by 2028. This wellness-focused residential tower, reaching 517 metres with over 120 floors, will offer expansive views of the Arabian Gulf. Another notable addition to the Dubai Marina skyline is the Franck Muller Aeternitas Tower, a 450-metre branded residential clock tower by an established developer, set for 2027 completion.
Downtown and Beyond
Other significant projects include the Binghatti Skyblade in Business Bay, a slender residential skyscraper by Binghatti Developers slated for 2029 completion at 357 metres. Downtown Dubai is also witnessing substantial growth with the Trump International Hotel & Tower Dubai, a 350-metre mixed-use luxury hotel and branded residences project by a leading developer and an international organization, expected by 2030.
Additionally, the Rixos Financial Center Road Dubai Residences, a 348-metre branded luxury residential tower operated under the Rixos hospitality brand, is targeted for 2028 completion by a local firm. These developments collectively highlight the robust pipeline of architectural ambition defining the UAE’s urban environment.
